Sedona - Grasshopper Point

(Upper pools)

Grasshopper point is a beautiful swimming hole and cliff jumping spot in Oak Creek Canyon.  I usually try to find the more obscure swimming holes, but this one is still worth it even though you have to share it with some new friends.  It is so easy to get to that you can easily stop after you hiked other trails.  There are two spots to swim.  The upper pools are peaceful, relaxing and not crowded.  The main lower pools have a lot of people on a busy day, but it is still worth it for the cliff jumping.  The water and the shade feels great on a warm day in Sedona.  The gate attendant said it is best to arrive before 10:00 am or in the later afternoon if it is a busy day.
