Wind Caves - Hike Userypass

Usery Mountain Regional Park - Wind caves Hike

This is one of the most popular hikes in the east valley.  It is located in Usery Mountain Park.  It is an out and back hike for a total of 3 miles with 800 feet of elevation.  There are beautiful views and the diversity of the trail is very pretty.  It will give you a workout, but it is definitely a family friendly hike.  Individuals in better shape can run part of the trail and meet at the top.  The cave at the top is a nice resting spot, but is not a cave.

This is a rattle snake that we saw just off the trail.  Although rattle snakes are sometimes seen on these hikes there have been few if any rattle snake bites in the park's history.
